I don’t dabble in medical malpractice—it’s the only work I do.

Every day, I represent families in Georgia and nationwide whose lives have been turned upside down by medical negligence. That work has resulted in more than $100 million recovered, including multiple eight-figure verdicts and settlements.

Before founding Davis Adams, I practiced in the Litigation & Trial Practice Group at Alston & Bird, focusing on antitrust litigation. Today, I bring that big-case training to claims against major hospital systems and corporate defendants—combining sophisticated preparation with a hands-on, personal approach.

I was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, and worked my way through college and law school. That path taught me to value preparation over polish, persistence over shortcuts, and plain talk over legal theater. Before becoming a lawyer, I spent nearly a decade in politics and public service—an education in advocacy, persuasion, and staying steady when the pressure is on.

Away from the courtroom, I have coached more than 30 seasons of youth baseball, served community and school organizations, and founded the Animal Rescue Legal Society after volunteering in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. I also maintain an active pro bono practice. Those experiences keep me grounded: the law may be complex, but the people who need a lawyer are usually looking for something simple—an honest answer, a clear plan, and someone who will show up.

Exclusively medical malpractice

Medical malpractice is not one item on a long list of services—it is the only work I do. That level of focus is uncommon because these cases demand years of specialized knowledge, substantial investment, trusted medical experts, and the willingness to take on hospitals and insurers in technically difficult litigation. Families should not have to teach their lawyer the medicine or the rules unique to malpractice cases. Choosing this work exclusively reflects a level of dedication that most lawyers have not chosen to make, and it sets both me and Davis Adams apart.

Nearly two decades of continuity

Davis Adams has spent nearly twenty years doing this work, with the same two lawyers leading the firm from the beginning. Around that partnership, we have built an experienced team and a stable practice designed for cases that can take years to investigate and resolve. Clients deserve to know that the people who understand their story will still be here tomorrow. This is not our first difficult case, and we do not have to learn how to build a malpractice claim while a family waits.

Most families come to us suspecting they weren't told the whole truth. That instinct deserves a real answer, not a guess. Before we discuss legal options, we answer harder questions first: What happened? Could it have been prevented? Did the care fall short, and did that failure cause the harm? We investigate — reviewing records, consulting medical experts — before we advise. Some cases end there, with clarity but no claim to pursue.
